Samhain as a family

I will have my first ritual with my fiance and our son on Samhain. I am excited to actually have someone join me and see what Wicca is really about and what better way than to celebrate with your soon to be husband.  We will take our son trick or treating and after we get back i will set up a family altar something fun for our son since he is two. A fun way to keep your toddler intertained if you would like them to participate is to use nature to represent each element. Such as put a bowl of dirt on the altar for earth, a bowl of water for water, a sensor for air, and a candle for fire. when you call on the elements let your toddler play with each element.  Safety for fire of course. You dont want your child burning themselves. Another way to keep them entertained during it is have them sprinkle the water and dirt around the altar for a natural decoration.
